At Solaris K9, we are passionate about helping dogs and their humans build strong, trusting partnerships through science, adventure, and genuine connection.

My name is Quinn MacNeil, and I’m the founder, trainer, and driving force behind Solaris K9 Training. From the moment I could walk, I was drawn to animals—especially dogs and horses. What began as a childhood love evolved into a lifelong dedication to understanding canine behavior and helping dogs thrive alongside their families.

I am a certified dog trainer through Animal Behavior College, graduating with honors, and I am currently completing my Clinical Canine Behaviour Diploma to deepen my expertise in complex behavior cases and canine neurobiology. My experience includes complex shelter cases and supporting families and their dogs build life skills through my work as a trainer for Unleashed in the City. I have hands-on experience with dogs from playful puppies to those overcoming fear, trauma, and challenging behaviors. With special interests in service dogs and temperament testing.

On a personal level, I’ve experienced the life saving benefits of service dogs. Living with chronic illness, I otrained my service dog to support my independence and daily functioning. This experience has given me a deeper appreciation for how service dogs—and the owners who work with them—can achieve greater confidence, autonomy, and quality of life.

Behavior modification, owner education, and service dog training are at the heart of what I do. I believe every training plan should be grounded in the latest behavioral science, tailored to each dog and family, and delivered with creativity, compassion, and care. Whether helping a reactive dog find calm, guiding a service dog team through public access training, or coaching owners to confidently manage challenging behaviors, my mission is always the same: to help dogs and their humans thrive together—in everyday life and on every adventure.
